Having completed M.B.B.S. and M.S. General Surgery from esteemed Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai which is renowned for itโs medical training all over globe; I
have acquired basic knowledge and surgical skills from one of the most busy hospital not just in state of Maharashtra but whole of India.
I have worked as a senior resident for 3 years in the Department of Neurosurgery of Goa Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, which is the only tertiary care center for the state and also caters to adjoining regions of states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Here I have assisted and
operated on many cranial and spinal neurosurgical cases, both emergency and elective. I have also actively participated in academic activities which included intradepartmental case presentation, interdepartmental case discussions and training undergraduate & postgraduate
medical students. I have been posted and completed training for a period of 1 month at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore as a part of my M.Ch.
curriculum.
After completion of my M.Ch. Neurosurgery, I have worked as Fellow in Spine Surgery for
6 months in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi under Dr. Sajesh K. Menon who is a well
renowned spine surgeon in India and abroad. Here I have assisted and performed routine as well
as many complex spine surgeries, which has refined my skills in managing the same. I have
actively participated in live workshops and conferences during this period. I have also trained M.Ch. Neurosurgery resident doctors, both in wards and in operation theatre.
I have also bagged 1 year Fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology under Dr. Aliasgar V. Moiyadi in Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai which is apex institute for cancer care in India with a high volume of patients having CNS related tumors. Here I have managed many brain and spine
tumor patients under guidance of experts as well as individually. I have presented seminars on relevant recent topics, also participated actively in Joint Clinics (JC) and Joint Neuro-Oncology
Meets (JNOM) of Neuro-Disease Management Group (Neuro-DMG) in liaison with Radiation Oncologists, Neuropathologist and Medical Oncologist. Here I have also acquired experience in
awake surgeries, in which I have become well versed and can perform the same with minimum necessary resources. I have also worked and am well acquainted with high end technological
advancements available in Neurosurgery.
After completing my M.Ch. Neurosurgery, I have been a faculty in 4 conferences, having participated in many more.
I have started private practice as freelancing Consultant Neurosurgeon in Nashik from
September of 2019, as well as serving Faculty in reputed Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Nashik from January, 2020 to October, 2021. I have joined SMBT
Hospital, Nashik from November, 2021 till date and am heading neurosurgical services at this center, which has seen significant rise in quantity and quality of neurosurgeries after my joining Till date, I have operated approximately 1200+ neurosurgical patients and managed far more patients than this. The number includes combined experience of all centers Iโve worked at.
